From Pain, With Peace - Vol.I Affirmation Card Deck
Affirmations that don’t ask you to pretend everything is okay.
Living with chronic illness can affect your body, capacity, identity, and the life you expected to have. And sometimes, “stay positive” simply isn’t what you need to hear.
From Pain, With Peace: Vol. I is a bilingual affirmation card deck created from lived experience with chronic illness. Its 31 affirmations make room for invisible pain, changing capacity, grief, boundaries, rest, self-compassion, and the complicated feelings chronic illness can bring. All 31 affirmations were reviewed by a psychotherapist, adding another thoughtful layer of care to every card.
Choose a card when you need one, display it with the included wooden stand, or gift the deck to someone who could use words that acknowledge what they’re going through.
Because sometimes you don’t need someone to make it better. You need words that make room for what’s real.
ÌBA Stickers - The Volume I Anthology
Sometimes, feeling seen starts with a few words that just get it.
Living with chronic illness, pain, disability, or fluctuating capacity can come with experiences that are difficult to explain, and sometimes a little humour helps too.
The Volume I Sticker Anthology brings together nine designs inspired by lived experience, from gentle reminders to pace yourself and take things one day at a time to the very relatable realities of having no energy, being in pain, and navigating a body with far too many terms and conditions.
Add them to your laptop, water bottle, journal, planner, or comfort kit. Keep all nine for yourself or share a few with someone who gets it.
Honest. Relatable. A little funny. Created to make the harder parts feel a little less lonely.
Our Philosophy
At Ìdẹ̀ra by Azzy, we believe comfort isn’t a luxury. It’s something everyone deserves, especially on life’s harder days.
Because life doesn’t always stop when things get harder. There are still places to go, responsibilities to manage, plans to keep, and experiences you want to be part of.
That’s why we’re creating thoughtfully designed products that make comfort easier to keep close, whether you’re working, travelling, out exploring, or simply moving through everyday life.
And this is only the beginning. As Ìdẹ̀ra grows, so will the ways we design for comfort in real life.
Created with Lived Experience
Ìdẹ̀ra wasn’t created from an idea of what harder days might look like. It was created from living them.
Founded from lived experience with chronic illness and chronic pain, Ìdẹ̀ra is shaped by an understanding of fluctuating capacity, invisible challenges, and the small details that can make everyday life feel more considered.
That perspective shapes how we design, from how a product fits into everyday life to the words and details surrounding it. Because thoughtful design starts with understanding the person it’s being designed for.
Meet Azzy
Hi! I’m Azzy, founder of Ìdẹ̀ra by Azzy.
I live with sickle cell disease and chronic pain, so I know what it’s like to navigate unpredictable days while still wanting to work, travel, make plans, and live fully.
One of the experiences that helped shape Ìdẹ̀ra happened on a flight. The rechargeable heat pad I relied on for comfort died, and my seat only had a USB port. I spent the rest of the trip charging it for a few minutes, wearing it for a few minutes, then repeating the cycle over and over again.
That experience stayed with me. Comfort shouldn’t become harder to access simply because life keeps moving.
